Course schedule and format
Medical Informatics in academic year 2024/2025 is taught in hybrid form. The Lectures are scheduled IN PERSON on every other Thursday 10:30 – 12:00 in EVEN tuition weeks in small lecture room of Institute of Anatomy (ANATP2, U Nemocnice 3, Praha 2).
Only the first two practical lessons are IN PERSON, and the rest of the lessons are online. For each practical lesson, you will have to submit your output of the lesson (a file or quiz) on Moodle. All practical exercises must be submitted via Moodle at least 7 days before the final test.
The attendance on seminars that are in person is mandatory. You can make up a missed class in the last lesson. The in-person practical lessons are in computer classroom of institute of biophysics and informatics (BIOFS2, ground floor to the right, U Nemocnice 5, Praha 2).
Here is a link to the Moodle course. You will use it for submitting tasks. You will get the key in the first lesson.
Graded Course Credit
To earn a graded course credit and assess student performance, all continuously submitted practical exercises and the final test are taken into account. Students must submit all practical exercises via Moodle at least 7 days prior to the final test.
As this is a graded course credit rather than a final exam, you do not need to complete the credit before the test. Both the credit and the final grade will be awarded simultaneously. Students must register for a test date in SIS; available dates will be published during the semester.
The graded course credit consists of a mandatory written test. A preliminary grade will be proposed based on this test. If a student disagrees with the proposed grade, the examiner may ask a supplementary question from the practical or theoretical content. The examiner will then assign the final grade based on the student’s response.
